Chapter 2- The Teacher in the Classroom and Community

Lesson 1- The National Competency-Based Teacher Standards (NCBTS)

I learned that ( NCTBTS) is concerned with the teacher in how they should handle students during the learning process. Teacher should create a meaningful learning environment that students comfortably learn then the learning process should be within the schema of students that they can relate the subject matter. Teachers should avoid quarrel to their colleagues because it will affect the learning system that teachers should communicate to each other for the development of school as well as the learners.

I realized that teachers should be friendly of their colleagues and community for us to help the learners and establishing a good environment. Teahers could ask the parents to contact a community service so, it is easy to finish upon cleaning the ground and surrounding.

As a future teacher I should help first the learners to acquire basic knowledge like cleaning the surrounding. I think that is good start for the learners' become responsible and i should teach them how to respect one another.
