Chap 3-Lesson 5 Bringing the World into the Classroom Though Educational Technology

I learned that using the technologies we can bring the world into our classroom by the use of technology like computer system that we can surf in the internet so, we can directly aware the issues worldwide. It is important for teacher to know how to use technology that is really needed in the classroom. Using the technology the student could easily understand the subject matter because they could have advance study through surfing that they could easily get the idea.

I realized that to become a global teacher, the technology a part of our teaching. We should know how to use computer because it is easy to access. So, when you give an assignment to them like if you are updated you will know if that certain assignment is just take for granted like they just copy and paste which it should not be.

As a future teacher, it is not enough to know the important of knowing the technology but how to use it in a proper way. Some of the teens right now are lack of parenting themselves on how to this stuff so, I should guide them for not to be abusive. Our eyes itself could affected due for excessive using the computer system so; we should minimize our time to protect our eyes in the radiation. I will suggest to them that they should not always rely on the internet because some of the information there are not reliable and they refer from the book or any reliable sources.

Chap 3-Lesson 4 Broadening Teaching Perspectives: Teacher Exchange Programs

I learned that to become a global teacher we need Teacher Exchange Programs. We have to expand our experience in teaching in other country and observe them their kind of teaching methods so, we could use it in our country. So, the teacher who has experience in participating in (VIF) Visiting International Program is benefited for up to three tears in servicing.

I realized that global teacher is we need to experience teaching from other country for us to broaden our teaching perspective. Therefore, it enhances our teaching ability. Through teaching in other country we become aware of their own culture and their differences in teaching. It could also develop our personal and professional lives as we encounter the different people with different culture.

As a future teacher, I will do my be to try to teach in abroad to become a global teacher because it is different in their culture through watching YouTube but if we just go there it would be a realistic one.

Chap 3-Lesson 3 Multicultural Diversity: A Challenge to Global Teachers

I learned that multicultural diversity is come from the different religion, ethics and language. The teacher also has his own culture though he should give equal opportunity for the learners to learn without bias. Learners should the fairness in the classroom even they are poor or rich they have a right to live in this world.

I realized that having multicultural learner in the classroom might complicate if the teacher couldn't know how to handle their differences. Through their differences they might get easily offended or having a quarrel because of their misunderstanding to each other.

As a future teacher, I should be careful in handling the class especially their differences. I should them first their family background and from where they are to know their culture to avoid stereotype that could hinder their motivation towards participating in the class.

Chap 3-Lesson 2 A Closer Look at the Education System of Selected Countries of the World

I learned that most of the countries that have mention in this topic are different in educational system like when the children go to school. They vary the way they manage the school policies and the numbers of year in every level, primary and secondary. Before can enroll in grade 1 level without taking kindergarten but now Kindergarten in our country is compulsory because we have a new curriculum the K to 12 program which means from kindergarten to twelve years of basic education. We need to make Kindergarten as compulsory for the learners to have an adjustment in school. So, when they enroll in the next level they will know how to handle themselves.

I realized that different counties as well as different educational system. We compare those counties and we can notice that we are behind. Let us support the k to 12 program, though many of our parents nowadays is complaining about this because they don't know the positive result of having this.

As a future teacher i will keep on reminding them of what is there in our new curriculum. I will gather them and give them a positive look about this to enlighten them. I think that is possible to happen.

Each of the countries have similarities like the Philippines, now they follow the curriculum of the United State. Also with Australia, their educational system is similar with the educational system of Canada and England that they have the same basic education. Unlike China, they have k to 13 curriculum.

I see that most of the countries right now are following the k to 12 curriculum. It is good thing that most of the country have free basic education which is compulsory for all the students. South Africa should follow the trends of education which is the k to 12 curriculum. Like the Philippines before that they do not have senior high school. I think it is really important to follow the k to 12 program to enhance the skills of the student.
